New T.I.P. opened for Cowes Week 2014

With the World's largest annual sailing regatta upon us, Visit Isle of Wight has today (Friday 1st August) opened a key Tourist Information Point (T.I.P.) next to the Red Jet Terminal in Cowes.

Red Funnel's CEO, Kevin George did the honours by cutting the ribbon to open the information point which will have a video screen showcasing the Island to the visitors arriving into Cowes. 

David Thornton, CEO of Visit Isle of Wight said; 
“Although our number one focus is promoting the Island on the mainland, we recognise it is very important to provide information to visitors once they are here. The TIP network we started to create last June is a private/public sector partnership solution to that challenge, and one that we think we can grow and develop over the next few years".

The Cowes T.I.P. will be open daily throughout Cowes Week between 10am and 6pm and will remain in place for the Bestival in September.
