Ryde Illuminated Carnival 2013

Picture
This year Ryde Carnival celebrates 125 years making it the oldest carnival in the UK.
The Ryde illuminated procession (which takes place this Saturday, 31st August) is the climax to the Island carnival season.
What proves to be a megga crowd puller, the procession begins from the Eastern Esplanade at 8.30pm and makes it's way through the town via Dover Street, Park Road, Start Street, High Street, Union Street and ending back on the Esplanade near the boating lake.
Obviously there will be quite a few road closures in Ryde so motorists beware! Click on the image for more information.
