The Railway Folk take over Steam Railway

Some strange but wonderful characters descend on Haven Street this weekend and 'take over' the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

The first one you are likely to meet is Mrs Cumberpatch the Booking Clerk who knits and talks and talks and knits when she should be selling tickets, so you might miss your train!  But Burt the Engine Driver seems more interested in cooking his lunch than getting away on time. 

 None of this will please Mr Beeching from the Ministry who wants everything ship-shape or he'll close the railway!
