Island Explorer operates various 'themed' guided tours of the Isle of Wight in one of our air conditioned coaches during the holiday season.
In addition to our own tours, we provide a tour guide service for visiting coach operators/groups visiting the Isle of Wight. Our service includes working out your excursion itinerary and making all the necessary arrangements on the client's behalf. Our experienced and knowledgeable guide(s) will then escort your group on their excursion, pointing out all the historical and interesting facts about the Island as they go.
Island Explorer also provides a guided tour service for coach operators and group organisers visiting the Isle of Wight. We act as tour consultants for our clients and can make all the necessary arrangements on their behalf.
In 2014 we re-introduced Island coach tours which used to operate from Ryde Esplanade up to the early 1980's. Some of you may remember names such as Moss Motors, Paul's of Ryde and Seaview Services who's coaches used to park along the Esplanade offering days out such as "Round The Island", "Afternoon Tour To Godshill" or "Osborne House and Whippingham Church".
Obviously COVID knocked us for six! But we managed to survive by working for a TV Drama being filmed on the Island; The Beast Must Die.
In early 2024, Hummingbird Travel (who specialised in the VIP/Corporate travel sector) became part of Island Explorer we are aiming to combine VIP tours of the Island and excursions to special places to the mainland!

Our 'motto' is quite simple; informative but informal.
